1. Who we are

This website is operated by John Hitchens, a freelance web designer based in the United Kingdom. Contact: hello@johnhitchens.co.uk.

2. What we collect

When you submit the contact form we collect: your name, email address, and the message you typed. When you make a payment we use Stripe to process the transaction; we do not see or store your card details.

3. Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry, deliver the service you paid for, and manage the project. We do not sell your data.

4. How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept for 24 months. Project files and invoices are kept for 6 years as required by UK accounting law. You can ask us to delete your data sooner; we will remove anything not legally required to retain.

5. Your rights under UK GDPR

You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account, at any time. Email hello@johnhitchens.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies (session, security). We do not run third-party tracking, ad pixels, or remarketing tags.

7. Data processors

We use Stripe (payments) and Hostinger (web hosting). Both have UK GDPR-compliant data processing agreements in place.

8. Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page with a new date at the top.
